Collective bargaining at T-Systems: Ver.di presses with warning strikes
Cologne / Berlin (dpa) – With warning strikes, the union ver.di in the ongoing collective bargaining for the approximately 30 000 employees of the Telekom subsidiary T-Systems pressure. According to ver.di data, about 80 T-Systems employees in Cologne stopped work for three hours on Tuesday. This was the prelude to a “nationwide wave of work stoppages” at various locations in the coming days. In total, around 2000 employees were called to do so.
For the fourth round of negotiations, the collective bargaining parties will meet in Bonn on 1 and 2 July. Ver.di calls for a salary increase of 6.5% retroactively to 1 April. Deutsche Telekom recently proposed performance-related one-off payments depending on the development of earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA). This offer rejected the union as a “provocation”.
